Substance: GHRH Peptide

CJC-1295 is a powerful synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), made up of 30 amino acids. This remarkable peptide effectively enhances growth hormone release and elevates IGF-1 levels while preserving the natural pulsatile release of growth hormone.

Often paired with Ipamorelin, CJC-1295 stands out for its specific action as a GHRH analogue. While both peptides stimulate growth hormone release, Ipamorelin does so without triggering appetite increases or raising levels of cortisol, acetylcholine, prolactin, and aldosterone, making it a well-tolerated companion to CJC-1295.

Target Gland: Pituitary

  • Boosted secretion of growth hormone and IGF-1 without elevating prolactin levels
  • Improved body weight and length through enhanced protein synthesis
  • Accelerated muscle development
  • Increased bone density
  • Enhanced immune function
  • Improved cognitive abilities and memory retention
  • Boosted collagen production for healthier skin
  • Facilitated fat loss
  • Enhanced cellular repair and regeneration

Benefits of CJC-1295: This peptide also promotes deep, restorative slow-wave sleep, which is crucial for optimal muscle growth, memory retention, and overall rejuvenation.

GHRH is naturally produced in the hypothalamus and its pulsatile release stimulates growth hormone release from the pituitary gland. However, GHRH has a very short half-life of just a few minutes, leading to rapid clearance from the bloodstream.

Types of CJC-1295: The initial 29 amino acids of GHRH are responsible for its active effects and are available as a synthetic peptide called Sermorelin. CJC-1295 was developed by modifying this peptide, extending its half-life to 30 minutes. The addition of DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) binds to blood proteins, prolonging its half-life to about 8 days, resulting in CJC-1295 + DAC. Alternatively, CJC-1295 can be formulated without DAC to replicate a more natural growth hormone surge each night.

The long-lasting effects of DAC mean that injections are typically needed only once or twice per week. However, this continuous presence in the bloodstream can lead to an unnatural stimulus for growth hormone release from the pituitary gland, possibly diminishing the natural amplitude of growth hormone pulses, which may reduce stimulation in target tissues.

To maintain optimal function, it's recommended to take "hormone holidays" for three months every three to six months while using long-acting CJC-1295. During these breaks, Sermorelin should be used to allow the pituitary gland to recover.

Safety: These breaks can also help mitigate the risk of developing resistance to growth hormone. Resistance may occur if antibodies form that neutralize growth hormone or if the number of growth hormone receptors on tissues decreases (down-regulation). While these concerns are theoretical, no comprehensive long-term studies have confirmed them.

Possible side effects of CJC-1295 may include injection site reactions (irritation, redness, swelling, pain, or itching), headaches, diarrhea, vasodilation (flushing, warmth, brief hypotension), nausea, and abdominal discomfort.
