What is Gemifloxacin (Factive)?

Gemifloxacin is a potent antibiotic belonging to the fluoroquinolone class, specifically designed to fight bacterial infections within the body. While it is highly effective, it is crucial to note that fluoroquinolone antibiotics, such as gemifloxacin, may lead to serious or potentially disabling side effects. Therefore, gemifloxacin should only be prescribed when safer antibiotic alternatives are not viable options. This medication may also be recommended for conditions not listed in this guide.
